Leeds Building Society has appointed Stephen Crook as Chief Information Officer, subject to regulatory approval.
Kroc has more than 30 years of experience delivering technology transformations in financial services.
He joins the association from Gartner, where he most recently served as Vice President and Executive Partner of the Research Council, where he advises CIOs across a range of industries.
Prior to this, he helped develop a global banking platform at HSBC and led the modernization of RBS’s core banking properties.
Crook, who will join the association in December, will work closely with operations director Rob Howes during a transition period, ahead of Howes’ departure from the association at the end of the year.
Annette Barnes, Chief Executive of Leeds Building Society, says: “We are delighted to welcome Stephen to Leeds Building Society. With over 30 years’ experience delivering major core banking transformations in financial services, he has a clear focus on using technology to improve outcomes for members and colleagues.”
“Technology is a key component of how we achieve our goal of making homes accessible to more people. I look forward to working with Stephen as we continue to invest in flexible, secure and straightforward services and build the capabilities we need for the future.”
