Nationwide for Intermediaries will increase rates for fixed and tracked services by up to 21 basis points from September 30.
This includes rates across the lender’s home purchase, existing customers, move-in, first-time buyer and remortgage products.
Nationwide for Intermediaries will also increase interest rates on its converters and additional borrowing ranges.
The lender told brokers via email today that they can reserve a product without having to submit a full mortgage application.
Brokers were advised to submit a decision in principle, click on “Book Product” and follow the instructions.
Aaron Strutt, product and communications director at Trinity Financial, said: “Nationwide has already waited nearly two weeks to increase its fixed services and trackers since the last rate hike, and during this time some lenders have raised their fixes multiple times.
“Unfortunately, Nationwide will only have one fixed rate available to new customers below 5% after these new rates kick in, which is a two-year fix of 4.99% with a fee of £1,499 for those with a 40% deposit.
“We’re getting to the point where there aren’t a lot of sub-5% fixed rate mortgages left, but there are still some decent tracker deals to choose from.”
Average fixed mortgage interest rates rose to nearly 6% last week as lenders continue to repricing, according to the latest Moneyfacts rate watch bulletin.
